1st anniversary of the Water Right for all

One year ago, the United Nations officially stated safe water as well as sanitation a human right for all.

“This right wouldn’t have been recognized without the Forums’ input,” Jean-Pierre Nicol, International Forum Committee Executive Director. This recognition from the international community is in fact the fruit of several years of discussions and debates, before the 4^th World Water Forum in Mexico. Today, the experts and stakeholders associated to the 6th World Water Forum of Marseille coming March 2012, are working towards the implementation of this right, including in terms of policies and laws or finances.
