Dates and venue

The Forum will be held from 12th to 17th March 2012.

The 6th World Water Forum will be held in the "Parc Chanot - Palais des Congrès et des Expositions de Marseille". Located in the 8th District, in the centre of Marseille, a few minutes from the beaches and the Vieux-Port, the Parc Chanot covers 170,000 sqm and comprises a convention centre and an exhibition centre.

The Forum will be open 7:30 am to 8:30pm (except evening venues).

The exhibition is open

> Monday, Wednesday, Friday: from 8:30 to 19:00
>>> Inauguration (Monday): 18:30
> Tuesday, Thursday: from 8:30 to 22:00
> Saturday: from 8:30 to 13:00

The Village of Solutions is open

> Monday: from 14:30 to 18:00
> Tuesday to Friday: from 9:00 to 18:00
> Saturday: from 9:00 to 14:00

Arid Zones and Desertification Area / CARI

> Monday to Friday: 9:00 to 20:00
> Saturday: from 9:00 to 13:00

Going to Parc Chanot

By Car

  • From the North: Highway A7 (Paris, Lyon, Bruxelles) – Exit 36, follow "Menpenti," "5 Avenues," "Stade Vélodrome," "Parc Chanot,"
  • From the Coast: A55 (Arles, Montpellier, Barcelone, Toulouse) – Follow "Tunnel du Prado Carénage," "Stade Vélodrome,"
  • From the East: Highway A50 (Toulon, Nice, Milan, Turin, Gênes) – Follow "Centre-Ville," "La Plage."

Note: Due to security measures, no parking will be authorised near or within Parc Chanot, except in the case of official World Water Forum vehicles, diplomatic vehicles or consular vehicles dropping off their delegation leaders or ministers.

By Metro

To go to Parc Chanot, you will have the option of taking the Metro towards "Sainte Marguerite Dromel" (line M2, "Rond-Point du Prado" stop).

By Bus
